justfilm Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how justfilm ("justfilm," "we," "us," or "our"), a web application available at https://justfilm.app, collects, uses, stores, and shares information about you when you use it. justfilm is a content-planning tool that helps TikTok creators plan, generate, and review ideas for their own TikTok content. By creating a justfilm account or connecting your TikTok account, you agree to this Policy.

• Account information — the email address and password you use to create your justfilm account, and an optional display name.
• TikTok account data— only if you choose to connect TikTok, and only with your explicit authorization through TikTok's official login (OAuth). With the user.info.basic and video.listpermissions you grant, justfilm reads your own basic TikTok profile (open ID and display name) and your own list of videos and their public statistics — views, likes, comments, shares, video length, cover images, and post timestamps. justfilm reads only the data of the account that authorized it and never accesses anyone else's TikTok account.
• Analytics screenshots you upload yourself, and the figures read from them.
• Content you create in justfilm — saved video ideas, planning notes, your stated content preferences and rules, and feedback you give on generated ideas.
• Technical data — a session cookie used to keep you signed in. justfilm does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

justfilm uses your information solely to operate the service for you: to authenticate your account, to generate personalized content suggestions and performance summaries, to display your own TikTok performance, and to save your plans and preferences. To produce suggestions, your content notes and performance figures are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. justfilm does not use your information for advertising, does not profile other people, does not sell your information, and never uses one user's data to serve another user.

justfilm's access to TikTok data is strictly read-only: it can view your own profile and video information, and it cannot post, comment, follow, message, or change anything on your TikTok account. TikTok data is used only inside justfilm to show your performance and generate ideas for you; it is never sold or shared with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers listed below that are required to run the service. justfilm's use and transfer of information received from TikTok APIs adheres to the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and applicable TikTok policies. You can disconnect TikTok from justfilm at any time, which deletes the stored access tokens and stops any further data from being read.

justfilm does not sell your information and does not share it except with the service providers required to operate it, each acting on our behalf: Anthropic (AI processing of your notes and figures to generate suggestions), Turso (database), Vercel (application hosting and private file storage). We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not share TikTok-derived data with any party other than these providers.

justfilm keeps your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. TikTok access tokens are deleted as soon as you disconnect TikTok. When you delete your account, your stored data is removed. We may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations.

• Disconnect TikTokat any time from inside justfilm, which deletes the stored tokens and stops further data access. You can also revoke justfilm's access from TikTok's own settings, under Security & permissions.
• Access or delete your data — to access a copy of, correct, or permanently delete your justfilm account and all associated data, email the address below and we will action the request.

justfilm stores data with reputable infrastructure providers, transmits data over encrypted connections (HTTPS), stores passwords only as hashes, and scopes each user's data to their own account. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

justfilm is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

justfilm is operated from the United States, and its providers store and process data there. By using justfilm you understand your information may be processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
